ANZ extends hours in Melbourne

ANZ extends hours in Melbourne

(10 September 2007 – Australia) ANZ has opened its first full service seven days a week branch in Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall. The branch is ANZ’s second seven day full service branch, following the first one in Brisbane.

ANZ group managing directory, Personal Division, Brian Hartzer, said opening a branch in Bourke Street Mall continued the bank’s focus on face to face banking in response to customer feedback.

He said the busy Bourke Street Mall location was the reason for its addition to ANZ’s program of extended opening hours in major shopping areas.

The branch opening is part of commitment by ANZ to open 80 new branches nationwide, which will give the bank a total of 812 full service ANZ branches.

Services include retail and business banking as well as financial planning and insurance.
