ANZ opens private banking office in Tasmania

ANZ opens private banking office in Tasmania

(27 August 2007 – Australia) ANZ has opened a Private Banking office in Hobart, Tasmania – the first such office the bank claims. ANZ Private Banking managing director Mark Ellis said the bank had previously serviced its private banking clients out of Melbourne.

He said the new Hobart office met a growing demand from private banking customers in Tasmania.

ANZ has appointed Sean Pearson to head up the Tasmania operation.

The bank said it was one of the few private banks worldwide to segment clients by profession in order to provide expert advice. Segments include business owners, executives, professionals, investors, medical specialists and expatriates.

ANZ has private banking offices in Australia, New Zealand., Europe ands Asia as well as regional centres in Australia including Newcastle, the Gold Coast, Cairns and Townsville.
