Aussie software sale to Indonesia

(Australia) - Software developer Financial Network Services has struck a $26 million deal to provide banking software to Bank Negara Indonesia to help the bank integrate its 685 branches across the country. The contract, won with IBM Global Services, adds to another FNS deal with State Bank of India.

The privately held FNS is backed by Macquarie Direct Investment, one of Macquarie's private equity divisions.

FNS managing director Tony Ward said the company is also negotiating a similar size contract in China, which was expected to be signed next year.
