Bendigo and Adelaide scrap ATM fees

Bendigo and Adelaide scrap ATM fees

(10 December 2007 – Australia) One of the first visible signs of the merger between Bendigo Bank and Adelaide Bank is the scrapping of fees for customers using either of the banks’ ATMs. Customers of both banks can access both Bendigo’s 550 ATMs and Adelaide’s 90 ATMS without incurring a fee.

Bendigo head of Retail, Mike Hirst, said the move was the first tangible benefit flowing from the merger and had been introduced in just two weeks of the banks coming together.

He said the banks had begun working on moving Bendigo’s 1.2 million customers and Adelaide’s 180,000 retails customers onto the same banking platform.

Hirst said the banks wanted to provide all customers with full access to branches and products of both banks as soon as possible.
