BNP Paribas teams up with Taiwan bank

(29 November 2006 – Taiwan) Taiwan Cooperative Bank and BNP Paribas are set to form a strategic alliance with a signing ceremony to take place this week. The French bank is expected to build on the partnership by taking a stake in TCB next year.

TCB is the largest bank in Taiwan by number of branches and loans and will give BNP Paribas a strong footing to grow its presence in Taiwan.

The two parties said the alliance was aimed at building a powerful coalition in Taiwan.
