BoQ announces new business group executive

(25 July 2019 - Australia) BoQ has announced former Westpac and St George executive Peter Sarantzouklis as its new group executive for its SME and business division following the departure of Brendan White who resigned from the company earlier this year to take on the role of CEO of pawn broker Cash Converters.

The Stoic Analytics director will commence in the BoQ Business Head role from 12 August 2019 and report to new incoming CEO George Frazis as the bank remains on the hunt for a new CFO following the recent departure of Matt Baxby.

Mr Sarantzouklis has over two decades of experience in banking and finance and has held a number of positions across distribution, strategy, product and finance. Before starting his own finance consulting business, Mr Sarantzouklis worked at the Westpac group for almost a decade as Westpac’s Chief Product Officer for the consumer bank, St George Business and Retail Group CFO (St George Bank, RAMS, Bank of Melbourne, Bank SA) and general manager of product for Westpac New Zealand’s business bank and retail bank. Mr Sarantzouklis has also held senior roles at GE Money and AVCO Finance.
