Cashcard appointees eye Asian markets

Cashcard appointees eye Asian markets

(30 October 2006 – Australia/China) Australian electronic payments company Customers Limited has appointed Rob Broers as managing director and Ken Gaunt as non-executive director of its joint venture company Customers ASIA Limited. Broers is currently general manager of operations at Customers Limited, joining the Sydney based company after previous tenures with Pulse International, Cashcard and Electronic Banking Solutions (EBS). He will relocate to China in the next few months.

Gaunt was founding managing director and largest shareholder at EBS before it was acquired by Cashcard in 2004.

Customers managing director Greg Baker said Broers had the right skills to lead the company’s expansion into Asia.

"We are confident that there is very real potential to create a large Chinese and Asian ATM business and that Rob and Ken will contribute significantly to achieving this," he said.
