CBA general counsel moves to Credit Suisse

(30 October 2007 – Australia) Commonwealth Bank chief executive Ralph Norris has announced that the bank’s general counsel, John O’Sullivan, is leaving CBA. O’Sullivan is moving to Credit Suisse where he will take up the role of chairman of Australian Investment Banking.

O’Sullivan leaves CBA next January after four years as general counsel.

Norris said the bank had begun the hunt for a replacement and expected to make an announcement on O’Sullivan’s successor within the next three months.
