Citi Group Appoints Their First Ever Female CEO Jane Fraser

(10 September 2020 – United States) Citi Group have appointed Jane Fraser as new CEO making her the first woman to attain such position in a major wall street bank. She has been running the bank’s consumer unit, private banking and Latin American operations for the past 16 years.

Fraser will be replacing Mike Corbat who has served as CEO for more than eight years. Her main priorities within the bank will be to improve returns and enhance trade networks in a time when nationalism and trade barriers are so prevalent. 

“The way our team has come together during this pandemic shows what Citi is made of” commented Citi Group CEO, Jane Fraser.  “I am excited to join with my colleagues in writing the next chapter” she also added.
