Citigroup poach back corporate banking executive

(7 September 2017 – India) Citigroup has poached back former executive, and group head for corporate banking at India’s most valuable bank.

K. Balasubramanian will return to Citigroup to replace Rahul Shukla following a one year stint at HDFC Bank as group head for corporate banking for South Asia, sources said.

Shukla will take on a larger role within the bank.

Balasubramanian had spent around 20 years with Citigroup prior to leaving his role as managing director for its Indian corporate banking operations in May 2016 to join HDFC Bank.
