Digital Platform: Google Cloud Joins Forces with British Bank
(26 November 2020 – United Kingdom) Google Cloud and Cynergy bank have joined forces to develop a new digital platform which integrates traditional relationship banking with technology and digital infrastructure. This development will enable Cynergy bank to position themselves as a ‘digital relationship bank’.
The new platform is officially set to launch in March of next year and will be targeted at rapidly growing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Ultimately, the bank intends to adopt a new model that fills in the gaps between digital and traditional banking.
In total, the value of investments Cynergy bank have made towards this project lies in the tens of millions of pounds. “This is ideal for small and medium businesses that need the capability and capacity to grow fast” commented Google Cloud Head of Financial Services, Adrian Poole
