ING beefs up private equity team

(5 July 2007 - Australia) ING Investment Management (INGIM) has appointed Richard Hughes as director for its Private Equity business. Hughes is currently a member of INGIM’s private equity team and has worked in private equity investing and management over the past 18 years in the UK, Asia and Australasia.

INGIM has also appointed Dandan Liu to INGIM Australia’s Private Equity Investment Committee.

Based in Hong Kong, Liu recently joined ING Group as CIO of ING Pomona, a new business established to provide private equity fund of funds portfolios for clients in Asia.

She has worked in private equity fund of funds for more than 10 years.

INGIM Australia CEO Grant Bailey said the appointments added further skills and experience to the company's growing private equity business.

INGIM Australia currently manages four private equity funds of funds for institutional clients and Australia’s first listed private equity fund of funds, ING Private Equity Access Limited.
