Italian bank confirms trade finance co-heads

(11 July 2017 – Italy) UniCredit has appointed to two people as joint co-heads of trade finance.

The Italian bank announced Adeline de Metz and Raphael Barisaac as joint successors to the role effective from the beginning of August.

The will replace Luca Corsini, who will move to global transaction banking co-head next to Jan Kupfer.

De Metz and Bariaac will be based in Milan and report to Corsini and Kupfer.

De Metz has worked with UniCredit since 2012, including being appointed the bank’s global head of working capital solutions in 2016. Prior to that, she was head of retail industry group and deputy head of coverage at Natixis. She previously worked in client coverage, credit analysis and management consulting functions in various banking organisations, including five years in the US.

Barisaac has been with the bank for two years, joining as global head of trade products. He also has senior executive experience at Surecomp including that bank’s global head of trade finance products.
