JPMorgan Asset Management Names New Singapore and Southeast Asia Head

(27 April 2020 – Singapore) JPMorgan Asset Management has appointed equities specialist Sherene Ban as head of Singapore and Southeast Asia, replacing Steven Billet who left the position in February.

In her new role based in Singapore, Ban will oversee JPMorgan’s distribution strategy in the region, and its client-facing and sales executives. She reports to Dan Watkins, CEO of JPMorgan Asset Management Asia Pacific.

Ban joined the firm in 2005 and was part of the Asia-Pacific Equities team for 10 years in London, New York, and Milan. She became the global head of the firm's Investment Specialist team for the Beta Strategies group in 2016.

Prior to JP Morgan, she spent six years at Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC as a portfolio analyst for Asia-Pacific equities.
