Naval gazing on the intelligent island
(Singapore) - A Deutsche Bank executive is heading a group of local and international bankers, acting personally, in a review of Singapore's financial industry strategy in an effort to identify new sector opportunities.
The Financial Services Working Group (FSWG), chaired by Deutsche's CEO (Asia Pacific) Robert Stein, includes senior executives from CS 1st Boston, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Citibank, amongst others together with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
FSWG's goal is to identify competitive advantages that Singapore has or can develop, together with new market and business opportunities and recommend strategies to leverage Singapore's positioning and report results through to the Government's Economic Review Committee.
