New AMP chief rings changes

(Australia) - New AMP chief executive Andrew Mohl has already begun to put his stamp on the company, announcing the restructuring of the UK business and dismissing five senior executives. AMP's UK managing director Tom Fraser is one of five executives to go in the restructure, along with Tim Wade (head of international strategy) Warwick Foster (chief information officer) Peter Noble (general counsel) and Andrew Jones (head of human resources).

The restructure also sees the announcement that former chief financial officer Marc de Cure, who resigned in September, will rejoin the company and take a strategy and development position.

The management of the British operations will be divided into "mature" and "contemporary" divisions.

Mohl said he wanted to move swiftly to establish a new executive team which shared his "passion" for reform.
