Paul Masi to head Merrill Lynch Australia

(1 September 2006 – Australia) Paul Masi is moving back to Sydney to head Merrill Lynch’s Australian operations. Masi will become the new country head and chief executive officer and is replacing Kevin Skelton.

Skelton, who wants to focus on deals and client interaction, will remain the chairman of investment banking for the Sydney office.

Masi has been with Merrill Lynch since 2000 and was formerly the head of Australasian equities. He moved to Hong Kong in 2003 to lead Merrill Lynch’s Asian equities and trading business.
