Rowland appointed new MD of mortgages at ANZ
(15 September 2006- Australia) ANZ has appointed Michael Rowland as managing director of Mortgages. He will report to group managing director, Personal, Brian Hartzer.
Rowland has moved across from ANZ National Bank of New Zealand where he is currently chief financial officer.
He also presided over the integration of the core functions, systems and processes of ANZ New Zealand and National Bank of New Zealand following the merger.
Rowland was also previously chief financial officer at ANZ joint venture partner, ING Australia. He joined ANZ in 1999 as CFO of the Personal Financial Services division in Australia.
Rowland’s predecessor in Mortgages Chris Cooper moved to ANZ’s Institutional division as managing director of Debt and Transaction Services in July.
Rowland starts in his new role on 1 November.
