St George names property finance leader
(29 November 2007 – Australia) St George Bank has appointed David Middlemas as national industry leader for Property Finance.
Middlemas will be responsible for managing a business where business lending for construction and property has grown 13 percent in financial year 2007.
The bank said he had been promoted to the role of national industry leader because of an outstanding performance in property finance in Western Australia.
St George Institutional & Business Bank general manager, Greg Kenny, said the non-residential property sector had been benefiting from growth in business investment and employment, the commodity boom and investor demand.
He said the strength of non-residential building and engineering activity had seen the construction sector post real growth of almost 10 percent over the past 12 months.
