StanChart gets new global head of cash for transaction banking

(21 September 2017 – Asia) Standard Chartered appoints Alan Lin as global head of cash for transaction banking to oversee bank’s growing cash management franchise.

Lin, departs Citibank to join Standard Chartered in the role. He will be based out of Singapore, and in charge of growing the cash management franchise for the bank’s transaction banking business.

He reports to Alex Manson, global head of transaction banking and will be a member of the transaction banking management team.

“He is a seasoned leader with deep cash expertise and a strong client focus,” Manson said in a statement.

Speaking of his appointment, Lin said, “I look forward to working closely with its world-class transaction banking team to deliver the best client experience and further strengthen its position as a global leader in the world's most dynamic markets.”

Lin’s appointment follows the recent hires of David Koh as regional head for transaction banking in Greater China and North Asia, who will be based in Hong Kong.
