Trouble in Seoul’s broking world

(South Korea) - South Korea's financial regulator has ordered brokerage firms' branches to shut down operations following discovery of some involvement in stock price rigging. The three branches belong to Shinhan Securities, Dongwon Securities and Hanvit Securities. The Financial Supervisory Commission has also suspended operations of a Daewoo Securities branch and Seoul Securities' two branches for one month in May, also for unfair trading practices.
