Ward shifts roles at UBS Asia

(5 June 2007 – Asia) Rodney Ward, the architect of UBS’s success in China, is leaving the role of chairman for UBS Investment Bank Asia but will stay on as honorary president. UK born Ward has been with the bank for 34 years joining SG Warburg in 1972 and helped UBS become the first foreign bank to win a qualified foreign institutional investor (QFII) licence.

He will stay on in Hong Kong and work with UBS investment banking clients, particularly in China and the Philippines, when he takes up his new position at the start of July.
