Xero Calls for Rapid Small Business Technology Adoption
(21 September 2020 – United Kingdom) Xero is urging government officials to boost the uptake of digital platforms by small businesses as soon as possible.
Given the immense impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on small businesses, the resilience and recovery of these firms is highly dependent on how digitally enabled they are. Xero have found that their small and medium sized enterprise (SME) client base have mostly been affected by the pandemic because of the lack of digital infrastructure.
“We’re calling on the Government to support business recovery with funding for technology adoption and the introduction of a tax offset for expenses against technology implementation. Driving digitisation will help countless small businesses to get back on their feet” commented Xero Managing Director, Gary Turner.
