BNP Paribas Appoints APAC Transaction Banking Head

(13 February 2023 - Singapore) Philippe Noirot has been named Head of Transaction Banking, Asia-Pacific (APAC) for French bank BNP Paribas

Based in Singapore, Noirot will report to Paul Yang, Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific. He succeeds Chye Kin Wee, who will be retiring in February. 

Noirot has 21 years of banking experience, including 11 years in the APAC region across diverse roles, including head of liquidity and investment solutions.

Before taking up his new role, Noirot was the head of territory for South Korea for seven years, strengthening the bank’s business in the country and deepening its client franchise both locally and abroad, including in Europe and the Americas.

According to a press statement, BNP Paribas says under Wee’s leadership, its transaction banking business in the region “has achieved impressive heights in both revenues and industry recognition”.
