EFIC launches Export Sentiment Index

(26 February 2014 – Australia) Australian businesses looking to expand their export business or establish business operations overseas have the unique opportunity to get specific information at the Export Finance & Insurance Corporation (EFIC) Export Finance Briefing events being held in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney in March.

The events will feature one of Australia’s leading financial commentators, Michael Pascoe, who will examine how Australian companies are taking advantage of conditions in international markets.

Pascoe will cover what companies are saying about the opportunities and challenges involved in establishing business operations overseas as well as information on where to go for the best advice.

Facilitating an interactive panel discussion with industry experts, Pascoe will discuss opportunities and insights into Australian exports, global supply chains and overseas investment and conduct a Q & A session with the audience.

EFIC’s Managing Director and Chief Executive, Andrew Hunter will launch the Export Sentiment Index – a quarterly review on the conditions and outlook for the Australian export market, with research conducted by East & Partners.

Additionally, EFIC’s SME Director, Robert Dravers will present findings of independently commissioned research on Australian overseas direct investment, including insights on why companies succeed or fail and how to address access to finance issues.

The Perth event will be held on Friday, 14 March, from 7.15am to 9am at Bankwest Place, L1, 300 Murray Street.

Brisbane’s event is on Wednesday 19 March, from 7.15am to 9am at Hilton Brisbane Hotel, 190 Elizabeth Street and finally Sydney’s event at 7.15am to 9am at Hilton Sydney Hotel, 488 George Street on Thursday 20 March.
