Everbright growing internationally
(China) - One of China's largest commercial banks, Everbright Bank (EBC) has seen its international settlement business volume explode by 93.3 percent in the last year.
Its international settlements reached US$12.478 billion in 2001 with the total level of foreign currency bought and sold by the Bank hitting US$7.062 billion during the year, up 51.5 percent over 2000.
The Bank is concentrating on electronic transaction platforms to deploy new, niche product lines in powering competitiveness and profit growth.
