HSBC releases Cash and Treasury Guide

(12 March 2008 – Asia) HSBC has released the 2008 version of their well regarded Guide to Cash and Treasury Management in the Asia Pacific. The release, the 11th annual edition, was formally brought to Sydney with a launch by HSBC’s head of global payments and cash management for the Asia-Pacific, John Laurens.

The launch also included an analysis of the current economic climate by co-contributor and chief economist for HSBC Australia and New Zealand, John Edwards.

Laurens indicated in his foreword to the guide that it is intended to be the definitive reference guide for cash and treasury management professionals operating in the Asia Pacific and beyond.

The reference guide includes over 50 articles from industry experts from both HSBC and beyond, including articles with a specific focus on supply chain management, logistics and trade.

The guide includes a new country analysis section covering 19 Asia-Pacific countries and territories, including Australia and New Zealand. The country section summarises current trade as well as accounts, payments, collections and clearing systems.
