New member for ANZ's Board

New member for ANZ’s Board

(28 June 2013 – Australia) ANZ has announced the appointment of Graeme Liebelt to the bank's Board of Directors.

Liebelt was previously Chief Executive Officer at Orica Ltd, a leading global mining services company with operations in over 50 countries.

During his 23 year career with Orica, Liebelt was Chief Executive between September 2005 and February 2012.

Liebelt is currently a Director of Amcor Limited and The Australian Foundation Investment Company Limited.

He is Deputy Chairman of the Melbourne Business School, a Director of Carey Baptist Grammar School and Deputy Chairman of The Global Foundation.

"I am very pleased to have Graeme join the Board. He has extensive international experience and a strong record of achievement as a senior executive including in strategy development and implementation.

"I am sure he will make a significant contribution to the Board," ANZ Chairman John Morschel said.

Liebelt's appointment is effective from 1 July 2013 and he will stand for election at the next ANZ Annual General Meeting in December 2013.
