Systems expert joins East database project

(Australia) - Systems design and development expert Andrew Mackenzie has joined East and Partners to work on the roll-out of the new Bankers' Database project this year. Mackenzie, who has 12 years' experience in systems design and development, has been appointed to lead the development and launch of the Bankers' Database, a comprehensive database of Australian companies which will soon be available to East clients.

The Bankers Database aims to capture vital information on every company in Australia turning over A$1 million or more a year.

When complete, clients will be able to access information on around 125,000 enterprises around Australia - one of the most comprehensive business database projects ever undertaken in this country.

Among Mackenzie's many achievements include working on the Commonwealth Securities website, one of Australia's most successful online trading systems. Still in the financial industry, he worked on the website for Challenger International.

"I believe my career experience has afforded me an excellent perspective and deep understanding of the design and construction of successful commercial software systems," Mackenzie said.

His experience will be invaluable in designing a user-friendly and state-of-the-art interface for clients using the Bankers' Database.
