(12 September 2005 – Australia) Payments solutions company First Data has appointed Tim Oneacre to head up the merchant acquiring services alliance with BankWest, BWA Merchant Services.Oneacre’s role as general manager of BWA Merchant Services is effective immediately. He was previously vice president, Operations, First Data Merchant Services.
The joint venture will use First Data’s back office processing technology to provide BankWest merchants with debit and credit card and other electronic payments services.
The alliance was announced last week.
Oneacre has been with First Data since 1996 and was instrumental in running the company’s back office operations such as merchant activations, training and conversions globally.
