(29 May 2025 – Global) HSBC has reportedly laid off more than two dozen analysts as part of a broader restructuring of its investment banking division, according to Bloomberg sources.
The cuts, mostly in Europe, include Steven Major, the bank’s Dubai-based Global Head of Fixed Income Research.
In the reshuffle, Murat Ulgen will serve as interim Head of Macro Strategy, alongside his existing role as Global Head of Emerging Markets Research. Eliot Camplisson and Raj Sinha have been appointed Co-Heads of Global Equity Research, while Janet Henry will continue leading the Global Economics team.
