Standard Chartered Names Kavita Kulkarni CTOO for India & South Asia

(30 July 2026 – India) Standard Chartered has announced that Kavita Kulkarni has joined the Bank as the Chief Technology & Operations Officer (CTOO) for India and South Asia.

At Standard Chartered, Kavita will be a member of the India Country Management Team and will be based in Mumbai. She will drive the execution of the Technology & Operations Strategy while supporting strategic priorities in the India and South Asia.

Kavita brings with her over 25 years of leadership experience in banking, wealth management, and technology, having held senior positions at various multinational financial institutions in India, UK and the USA.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Kavita served as Managing Director and Chief Information Officer for Private Banking and Wealth Management at Barclays Bank. In this role, she led global technology and operations teams, championing the adoption of artificial intelligence across delivery cycles.

She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) degree from Karnataka University (India), and an MBA (Finance) from New York University, Stern School of Business (USA).
