(12 August 2020 – United Kingdom) The multinational British bank Standard Chartered (StanChart) has recently announced partner with Microsoft Azure for multi-cloud banking solutions. The partnership will entail a three-year strategic plan to migrate all of the bank’s core banking and trading systems to cloud.
StanChart also plans to use Microsoft’s artificial intelligence and data analytics to help automate banking processes. Both parties will co-develop open banking applications, real time payments and explore using Internet-of-Things (IoT) in banking systems.
