Frazis to replace Chapman at St George

(12 March 2012 – Australia) George Frazis, current head of Westpac’s New Zealand business has been appointed chief executive of St George bank.Frazis will replace Rob Chapman who leaves the bank after more than 10 years to return to Adelaide, Westpac said.

St George is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westpac.

”George has done an excellent job over the past three-and-a-half years in improving the performance of the New Zealand business and I am pleased with the results he is delivering,” Westpac chief executive Gail Kelly said in a statement.

Peter Clare, Westpac’s group executive of products and operations, will replace Mr Frazis as chief executive of Westpac New Zealand.
