(11 April 2007 – Australia) BankWest head of Retail Sales Mark Reid is moving to Sydney from Perth to run the national sales division as part of the HBOS Australia’s decision to boost its growth on the eastern seaboard.Reid said he was looking forward to the challenge of building an east coast presence for BankWest.
HBOS Australia CEO David Willis said the bank had attracted thousands of new customers to BankWest through a combination of market leading products and excellent service, supported by aggressive advertising campaigns.
“In the past two years, we have opened more than 20 branches and business banking centres on the eastern seaboard and we will focus on increasing this physical presence and aggressively growing market share across our product range with a highly skilled and motivated sales force to support our other channels,” he said.
