(12 October 2015 – Australia) Citi has announced Aidan Allen in the new position of head of investment banking, Australia and New Zealand.
Allen, who joined Citi in 2013 from UBS, will remain in his current role as head of general industries and financial sponsors (private equity), and continue to report to Tony Osmond, head of corporate and investment banking in the region.
Earlier this year, Citi also strengthened its ranks with the appointment of Ian Maxton from Japan-based Nomura as a Sydney-based managing director and vice-chairman of investment banking.
“The new role will allow Aidan to assume a greater leadership role across our broader corporate advisory and capital markets businesses,” Citi said.
The appointment comes as Citi searches for a replacement to country head Stephen Roberts, who has transitioned into a senior advisory role.
