(Australia) – Struggling financial group AMP has sent former Chief Executive Paul Batchelor a final payout of A$2.1 million as the controversial payout seems set for the courts. The size of Batchelor’s payout had been rumoured to approach A$20 million, but the former Chief has been in dispute with AMP.
Batchelor criticised the payout, saying he was legally entitled to receive more than he has been paid. He said he was considering his options to challenge the payout.
Of the A$2.1 million, A$700,000 was taken out in tax.
