ANZ joins forces with ABL State Chamber in NSW

(20 September 2006 – Australia) ANZ has formed an alliance with Australian Business Ltd (ABL) State Chamber to support SMEs in NSW.The alliance was launched by NSW minister for small business David Campbell as part of the state government’s ‘Small Business September’ program.

ABL State Chamber chief executive Rob MacDonald said the two organisations had a “broad understanding” of SME business needs and the environments in which they operate.

“We can now, through the collaboration of two industry leaders, offer small and medium size businesses a broader, improved and more cost effective range of services, events, research and information,” he said.

ANZ NSW chairman Scott Reid said the bank recognised that business owners required tailored products and solutions designed to meet their needs.

“The strategic alliance with ABL State Chamber is being formed to strengthen our existing services and support business in NSW. We are focused on developing solutions to meet the emerging needs of SME business owners,” Reid said.
