ANZ launches web based transaction banking products

(13 May 2005 – Australia) ANZ has launched two new Internet based transaction banking applications aimed at corporate customers.The first of these, ANZ Weblink, allows customers to manage payables and receivables data via a web based file transfer application and integrate this data into their ERP systems.

The second new product, ANZ Internet Enquiry Access, enables customers to make account enquiries via the Internet to check real time balances and transaction information.

The bank claimed the new service was the first web based application in Australia with view, edit and authorisation capability for customers.

“ANZ is now well on its way to offering businesses a full transactional banking service via the Internet,” ANZ managing director, Trade and Transaction Services, Mark Paton, said.

The bank said several of its customers, Toyota, Capral Aluminium, Jardine Lloyd Thompson and Mills Oakley Mortgages, had already begun using the new service.
