(18 May 2007 – Australia) BankWest has appointed Peter Chambers as Victorian state manager for Commercial Banking.BankWest head of Commercial Banking Gary Johnson said Chambers had been part of BankWest commercial in Victoria since 2005, occupying a number of senior roles.
Chambers is a career banker with more than twenty years experience in the finance industry working mainly in corporate and commercial banking. He has also worked at National Australia Bank and GE Commercial.
Chambers said the existing talent in the Victorian commercial banking team was strong and that BankWest was well positioned to grow.
“We have recently begun a recruitment drive to grow our capabilities and attract high performing commercial bankers,” he said.
