(17 February 2025 – Singapore) Barclays has strengthened its Corporate Bank in Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East (ME) with two senior appointments in newly created roles.
Vijay Shankar U.S joins as Managing Director, Head of Global Transaction Banking, APAC & ME while Amaar Khan has been appointed as Managing Director, CIO & Head of Corporate Banking Technology, APAC & ME with both based out of the Singapore office.
Vijay will build out the Global Transaction Banking business in the region, underpinning the group’s commitment to delivering exceptional results for clients. Amaar will develop a technology roadmap and work closely with the International Corporate Bank (ICB) to build product capabilities and drive commercial growth across the APAC & ME. He reports to Saket Sharma, CIO Corporate Bank.
