(29 June 2007 – USA) Bank of America and MasterCard have joined forces to develop an internet based resource targeting small businesses, in conjunction with Microsoft.FedEx is also involved in the project known as Startup Center, which is designed to provide new businesses with advice and resources to help them in the early stages of establishing a business.
Microsoft said the initiative was based on the combined knowledge of four companies which had a commitment to developing the small business community.
Users of the online resource will be routed to content supplied by Bank of America and MasterCard containing information on how to set up business accounts, payment cards and also insurance and payroll management.
