(14 November 2007 – Australia) HBOS Australia has appointed Bernie Campbell as the new chief executive of Capital Finance, HBOS Australia’s asset finance business, replacing the retiring Derek Taylor.Campbell will move from his current position as head of Business Finance at Capital Finance to pick up the reins as CEO at the start of next year.
Taylor is retiring after eight years as Capital Finance chief executive and 20 years at HBOS.
Campbell who kicked off his career with Citibank before moving to Barclays Bank has been with Capital Finance for 12 years.
HBOS Australia chief executive David Willis said appointing a senior executive from within the organisation was an indication of the strength of the HBOS Australia senior management team.
