(30 March 2023 – Singapore) Citi has appointed Rajat Madhok as Global Head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) Credit Risk.
Prior to his new role, Madhok was Citi Asia Pacific (APAC) Head of CCB.
Madhok will relocate to New York from Hong Kong and will have risk management oversight, including wholesale credit risk, for CCB.
He joined Citi in India in 1996 to assume various corporate banking and commercial banking roles. In 2011, Madhok was named CCB Head for India before becoming APAC Head of CCB in 2019.
Madhok joins a number of Asia-based senior bankers who have shifted on to take global and US-based roles.
“As many of the region's mid-sized companies expand internationally, CCB supports their growth by providing access to Citi's full range of wholesale banking solutions and global network, which spans over 160 countries and jurisdictions” Citi said in a statement.
