(21 September 2021 – Singapore) Citigroup has appointed Rapheal Mun to the newly created role of Head of Sustainability & Corporate Transitions (SCT) for its banking, capital markets and advisory (BCMA) division in Asia Pacific (APAC).
Mun will lead BCMA’s sustainability and ESG strategy and client engagement in the region, working with sector, country and product teams to drive strategic sustainability among the group’s clients. Citi has raised over US$30 billion in sustainable financing for Asian clients so far this year.
Mun will report to Jan Metzger, head of APAC BCMA, and also to Keith Tuffley, the SCT team’s London-based co-head, and Amol Gupte, Citi’s country officer Singapore.
Mun has been at Citi for 19 years and was a senior banker in its project and infrastructure finance team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), focusing on renewables and energy transition. She has experience across structured finance, infrastructure, power, energy and real estate.
“This new position in the region underlines the role Asia Pacific has to play in Citi’s sustainability strategy and delivering best-in-class solutions to our clients across the region. Many are actively seeking solutions by investing in new technologies and innovations, pursuing M&A activity, and raising green capital to fund their sustainability ambitions,” said Jan Metzger.
