(7 January 2026 – Singapore) Citi has appointed Alexander Wong as a managing director in its investment banking business, strengthening senior client coverage across Asia-Pacific.
Wong will focus on the industrials and mobility sector and report to Lei Li, Citi’s APAC head of industrials for investment banking. He joins from Credit Suisse, where he was a managing director leading mobility and industrial technology coverage.
Citi said the appointment follows strong momentum in its industrials franchise during 2025, highlighted by Haier India’s stake sale to Bharti Enterprises and Warburg Pincus, described as the largest China–India partnership transaction to date, and Geely’s US$2.4bn privatisation of Zeekr, the world’s largest electric vehicle merger.
The bank expects deal activity in the sector to remain robust into 2026, supported by a healthy pipeline and a more supportive transaction environment.
