(11 August 2026 – France) Citi has poached its new Country Officer and Banking Head for France from Morgan Stanley.
Citi has appointed Jean‑Baptiste Charlet as Citi Country Officer & Banking Head, France. Charlet brings 30 years of investment banking experience with Morgan Stanley as a HEC Paris alum and ex‑French Navy officer. The move emphasises Citi’s ongoing commitment to bolstering its French operations as competition in the European banking sector intensifies.
“Jean-Baptiste brings exceptional leadership, deep client relationships and a successful origination and execution track record across the French and European market” Citi said in a statement.
