(China) – Citigroup’s unit Citibank has received approval from China’s central bank to offer online banking services in China.Citibank says it will immediately launch full-range internet banking services for local and foreign clients in China.
“We have the technology infrastructure in place and an established client base, which gives us the ability to quickly roll out our internet-based products in China,” said Citibank’s country corporate officer, Richard Stanley.
