(7 July 2021 – Europe) Commerzbank has appointed Christian Toben as the bank’s new head of Financial Institutions (FI) for emerging markets.
Toben has already accrued six years experience working as head of FI for Africa. He replaces Holger Katuzky who has transitioned to the group risk management division.
He will report to Nikolaus Giesbert, the divisional board member responsible for institutional clients and transaction banking. Toben will be responsible for Commerzbank’s relationship with FIs and central banks for emerging markets such as Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe and Africa.
