(19 October 2020 – Europe) Credit Suisse have recently hired the former head of investment banking at Bank of America (BofA), Christian Meissner. This new appointment will require Meissner to relocate from the United States (US) to Europe.
His new role in Credit Suisse will be primarily focused on connecting the bank’s wealthiest clients with investment banking services. This means that future merger and capital market deals will be mostly from customers within its international wealth management business.
“In the current banking climate where customer churn remains high, it is essential for banks to cointegrate business units to extract the most value from their incumbent clients” commented East & Partners Europe Market Analyst, Pierre Sokoya.
